www.handhelds.org all the free os updates you'll ever want.
I have personally decided that since Hp doesn't feel a $500.00+ investment is worthy of an OS upgrade they are not worthy of my spending further for HP products. I am switching to Dell fpr PDAs, Dells for Laptops and Desk tops and have decided to never again purchase an HP Printer. I have not decided what to replace my current printer with but as it is almost as cheap to replace a priniter as it is to replace the ink I just need to decide who to use other than HP. also a good alternative to the 6315 is the SX66 from Siemans. It has more power and a slimmer line than the 6300 series. resembles the 4155. Which HP also is not upgrading the OS on and was under a year old. With the track record of support I don't foresee HP working with customers who have purchased their products and will avoid HP in the future and advise others to do the same.
hmm...ipaq has a huge following...what if the axim types started offering upgrades(which with their attitude towards cost cutting, getting new customers etc. is very possible)...maybe these guys would follow suit
No, the eternal question is, will this OS fix the alarm problem.
I would hope that is not the case this just what the Dr. ordered for the 6300
Well, since the 55XX series was passed-over for the Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition update (when the 55XX was just a year old), then it follows that the 63XX will probably also be skipped.

The HP/MS marketing types have shown (as of late) that they think that if they can squeeze another hardware purchase out of the consumer by limiting the distribution of a New OS to newer units only, why would HP want to bother spending the time and money tailoring the new OS so existing iPAQ users could install it as an upgrade?
heh, the eternal question... will we be able to upgrade our 6315s!
