Fortunately, supporting the iPhone and Touch for my clients gives me plenty of "hands on" experience, not to mention, plenty of ear aching from the complaints. Although, the ones that used to complain the most have simply moved on from the iPhone platform to BB which is currently supporting their needs better.
I point out the issues for any platform equally which benefits people by giving them an objective set of information from which they can make a better decision for themselves. Unlike some, I am not on a holy crusade to "convert" people to any given product or service.
Concurring with JN and Wyatt, considering cut/copy/paste a low priority = a miss for Apple. It should not have to be a priority, it should just be a standard by now.

Ditto, and the fact of the matter is that cut/copy/paste is a necessary function to effectively create and edit documents. This is also why any office suite planned for the iPhone is hampered due to this missing function.

Well, I can't speak for everyone but I have enough "hands on" experience with both the iPhone and the iPod Touch to be able to speak intelligently about the pros and cons of the device.

You gotta love people who do not own the iPhone, "rip" on it.
I just converted yet another Windows Mobile user to the iPhone this weekend! No selling necessary, just hand him my iphone to try and he's off to the Apple Store.
Copy/paste should be on the iphone, and it's very unlike Apple to leave this out. It's going to be an interesting implementation - that we know for sure. Even without copy/paste, people are more then thrilled to buy, so it's not a deal-breaker.

"Well copy/cut/paste is a low priority, at least as far as Apple is concerned."
Yeah, who knows "how low?" Turn by turn navigation is a higher priority at Apple. So much for the 70-30 rule!

That's why I've only used mine for drafts. Edit it at my PC.

Agree... Copy/paste needs to be on the iPhone. We will see it soon...

Seems like a lot of fun to edit without copy/cut/paste capabilities. lol
