Asus Unveils the Z790 ROG Maximus BTF Hero Board with Backside Ports and Unique GPU Power Supply

Asus is further enhancing its BTF (Back To the Future) product lineup, intended to transform modern gaming PCs into more visually appealing and simpler assembling systems. The motherboard of BTF series has had its main power connectors relocated to the backside, and graphic cards’ traditional 12+4-pin 12VHPWR power connectors now replaced with distinct ones. Their latest addition is a new Z790 ROG Maximus BTF Hero board.

Asus’ Z790 ROG Maximus BTF Hero board comes with a standard PCIe 5.0 x16 connector for the graphics card and an extra PCIe power connector, capable of providing up to 600W to BTF series graphics accelerators. The board also supports the use of traditional graphics cards, in which case the additional power supply to the card would be provided via a standard 12VHPWR cable.
