Despite lukewarm reception, with only a 53% rating on OpenCritic, 505 Games and Czech developers InGame Studios continue developing their crime thriller, Crime Boss: Rockay City, inspired by Payday. The game is heading towards Steam.
Recall that Crime Boss: Rockay City first debuted on PC in March 2023, exclusively on the Epic Games Store. Since then, it received significant updates and add-ons like Dragon’s Gold Cup, and was released on consoles — PS5, Xbox Series X and S.
As announced, with the release of the next major patch, Crime Boss: Rockay City will reach the digital distribution service, Steam, on June 18, this year. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer.
Steam Launch and Next Add-On
On the same day as the release of the ninth update and the Steam version, Crime Boss: Rockay City will get a new paid add-on. Named Cagnali’s Order, it delves into an evil megacorporation and their squad of robotic policemen.
Cagnali’s Order will feature four cooperative missions, which can be played solo, revolving around Rockay City police’s collaboration with the sinister organization. It also introduces new enemies, a boss, playable characters, and a laser gun.
Special Offer on Steam
The launch of the Crime Boss: Rockay City Steam version offers a special deal. For a limited time, all DLCs will be bundled with the game for free, namely:
- Dragon’s Gold Cup;
- Cagnali’s Order;
- Weapon packs Heavy Hitters and Tactical Weapon.
Future Game Enhancements
Additionally, 505 Games unveiled the improvement plan for Crime Boss: Rockay City, stretching into the first quarter of 2025. The game is slated for five major updates, including two holiday-themed ones (Halloween and Christmas).
