During the OTK Games Expo 2024, two-man Lithuanian studio, Lazy Flock, introduced the debut trailer for their cooperative horror game, Haunted Paws.
The plot revolves around the kidnapping of two puppies’ best friend – a human – who is trapped in a haunted house by evil creatures. Players have to rescue the poor fellow and unravel the secrets of the mansion.
Players assume the roles of the four-legged heroes. Character customization allows players to choose the breed, color, distinctive characteristics, and accessories. Skills such as digging, sniffing, and barking are available in Haunted Paws.
Despite its horror element, Haunted Paws is primarily positioned as a cozy game combining “cute and scary interactions, steeped with exciting secrets”.
The creators urge players to “team up with your partner for a cooperative adventure that’s simultaneously scary and heartwarming, filled with emotional moments. Immerse yourself in this terrifying yet cozy journey!”
Haunted Paws is designed for two players, but similar to It Takes Two, only one copy is required – a partner can join the cooperative session for free.
There is no release date set for Haunted Paws yet, however, the game does have a page on Steam. According to Valve’s service, the game will feature Russian language text translation.
