Greenlight Wireless partially credits this surge of subscriptions to Skweezer 2.0’s increased compatibility with XHTML-enabled cell phones, such as the latest Nokia, Ericsson, and Motorola handsets. This has greatly increased the product’s target market, as previous versions of Skweezer were only compatible with more relatively robust devices, such as Pocket PC- and Palm-based Smartphones and PDAs. The amount of Web-browsing data processed by Skweezer increased 16 percent, while data consumption related to Skweezer’s updated e-mail solution has increased nearly 150 percent in the same timeframe. Upcoming releases of Skweezer will build on the success of its mail utility by incorporating a suite of new features, such as instant messaging and RSS newsfeeds, in an effort to make the product compelling to a broader range of wireless consumers.
