FCC approves HP iPaq devices

The Federal Communications Commission has approved grants from manufacturer High Tech Computer for two Hewlett-Packard iPaq handhelds. The two devices, to be called the iPaq h1930 and the iPaq h1940, according to the Tuesday filings, will be added to the low-end 1900 series and will come with a built-in Bluetooth chip, 64MB of memory, Secure Digital expansion slots, and a 3.5-inch transflective display with a resolution of 240 pixels by 320 pixels. The iPaq h1930 will use a 203MHz Samsung processor, and the iPaq h1940 will use a 266MHz Samsung processor. On May 15, the FCC also approved the iPaq h2200 devices, which come with an Intel XScale PXA255 processor for handhelds, 64MB of memory and a built-in Bluetooth chip. HP declined to comment on the approved devices.
