Leading Western retail outlets Newegg and BestBuy have announced prices for certain versions of the GeForce RTX 4070 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super graphics cards ahead of their release.
Upcoming GeForce RTX 4070 Super
NVIDIA’s forthcoming GeForce RTX 4070 Super is set to be the first graphics card the company releases this year. Its predecessor, the original RTX 4070, became popular among NVIDIA partners, with more than 140 different versions released. The new RTX 4070 Super is poised to replicate this success.
Most manufacturers have chosen to use existing cooler systems from the original RTX 4070 for the RTX 4070 Super, as they are fully compatible with the new card. The power consumption of the RTX 4070 Super has increased by just 20 watts and graphics card manufacturers typically design cooling systems with a surplus to cater to potential future updates.
Sale Dates and Prices for the New Graphics Cards
Sales of the RTX 4070 Super will start on January 17, while the other two models announced simultaneously – the RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super – will go on sale on January 24 and 31 respectively. The retail prices for all of these graphics cards from Nvidia partners are as follows:

GeForce RTX 4080 Super 16GB — suggested price $999
- NVIDIA Founders Edition — $999.99;
- MSI Ventus 3X OC — $1,099.99.
At least four versions of the RTX 4070 Super will be available at the suggested NVIDIA price. Prices for five other variants are $10 to $50 higher. The RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super models are priced $50-$100 higher than recommended costs.
The day before sales start, NVIDIA will allow the publication of reviews for the reference RTX 4070 Super. With the commencement of sales, more costly versions of the graphics card with additional factory overclocking will also be reviewed online.
