Since the sweeping Microsoft service disconnects started on May 15, more than half of Russian corporate clients have lost access. Softline Customer Support reports the ongoing events via their Telegram Channel.
“The restriction on access to Visio Online, Project Online, and Power BI subscriptions in the CSP channel, which commenced on May 15, continues. Over half of organizations registered within the Russian Federation have encountered restrictions from the vendor. Microsoft has placed these subscriptions into ‘Suspended’ status, resulting in their inaccessibility. Despite the imposed restrictions, the agreements remain active. Subscriptions which are unaffected are freely available for use. In this challenging situation, we maintain steady communication with our clients, providing technical support, and assistance in transitioning to domestic software,” Softline announced. The exact number of disconnected Russian corporate clients was not provided by the company.
Microsoft had previously warned Russian businesses that starting from March 20, 2024, access to their cloud resources would begin to be restricted. The developer explained that this decision was due to the implementation of the 12th set of sanctions by the European Union, which forbids the supply of certain management or design software (including cloud solutions) to organizations registered in Russia.
