MSI 700 Series Motherboards Ready for Latest 14th Generation Intel Core Processors

MSI Announces compatibility with Intel’s latest 14th Generation Processors

MSI has announced that their motherboards featuring the LGA 1700 CPU socket fully support the latest 14th Generation Intel Core processors, which have TDP ratings of 65W and 35W.

Intel Expands 14th Generation Core Family

Intel expanded its 14th Generation Core processor family with models featuring lower power consumption in early January. The chips’ lower TDP, compared to the K-series models, enables their use in more compact systems, while still offering a large number of cores and high performance. These chips are also suitable for standard systems, such as for users who do not intend to overclock their PC. Eighteen models have been added to the Intel Core 14th Generation processors, including the Core i9, Core i7, Core i5, Core i3, and Processor 300 series.

MSI’s Recommended Pairing with Intel B760 Chipset

MSI suggests using the new Intel processors with its motherboards fitted with the Intel B760 chipset. Boards with this system logic are available in the MPG, MAG, and PRO series. MSI points to features such as an enlarged aluminum heatsink over the power elements of the power subsystem that aids in quicker heat dissipation, ensuring high-level performance under loads. The M.2 Shield Frozr heatsinks also help improve cooling for solid-state drives, ensuring safe operation even at incredibly high performance levels.

Additional MSI B760 Motherboard Features

There are additional advantages to the MSI B760 motherboards. They come with built-in Wi-Fi modules featuring the latest Intel controller with Wi-Fi 6E support and can offer 2.5 gigabit Ethernet. This provides users with high-speed network interaction. Furthermore, MSI B760 motherboards come with a pre-installed IO Shield and EZ M.2 clips for easy PC assembly.

MSI also stated that BIOS updates have been released for all its motherboards with Intel’s 600 and 700 series chipsets, in preparation for the latest 14th generation Intel Core processors.
