US Retail Stores Report Shortage in GeForce RTX 4080 Super Graphics Cards
US stores are reportedly facing a scarcity in GeForce RTX 4080 Super graphics cards, as reported by VideoCardz. This popular GPU, retailing at the suggested price of $999, it’s actually cheaper than the regular RTX 4080 model – thus sparking its high demand among gamers. However, orders for these cards seem to be unavailable for online purchase in most stores.
A handful of retailers, such as BestBuy and MicroCenter, still maintain a limited inventory of GeForce RTX 4080 Super at the suggested retail price. Specifically, BestBuy offers the RTX 4080 Super Founders Edition by NVIDIA. However, these cards cannot be bought online and customers are required to visit the nearest physical store. The most affordable RTX 4080 Super variant still available for online purchase is priced at $1123.
According to VideoCardz, RTX 4080 Super cards are out of stock at the retailer B&H Photo Video, as well as in ASUS, MSI, and Zotac brand shops. Among Newegg’s inventory, the cheapest RTX 4080 Super variant is listed at $1149, with all other versions out of stock.
VideoCardz suggests that the limited availability of RTX 4080 Super at launch is likely due to the reduced inventory of the regular RTX 4080 model seen over recent weeks. It should be noted that RTX 4080 Super is set to fully replace the standard model in the market.
At present, no major US retailers or NVIDIA partners have the RTX 4080 Super available at the recommended price of $999. Contrarily, the situation on the European market appears more positive, with several stores offering the RTX 4080 Super at €1109.
VideoCardz reports that retailers are not experiencing similar issues with the stock of RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4070 Ti Super video cards.
