Thermalright Launches CPU and SSD Cooling Systems
The Computex 2024 tech exhibition saw Thermalright debut a range of new processor coolers and cooling systems for solid-state NVMe drives. Tech-powering enthusiasts from TechPowerUp visited the manufacturer’s booth and summarized the key highlights.
HR10 for NVMe Drives
Thermalright introduced the HR10, a high-performance cooling system for M.2 2280 format NVMe drives. It consists of an aluminum base and two heat pipes that dissipate heat from the SSD through an aluminum radiator, cooled by a 40-mm fan. The HR10 is available in silver-chrome and white variants.
Frozen Infinity 360
The Frozen Infinity 360, Thermalright’s new flagship liquid cooling system, includes a 360mm radiator. It features a cubic water block with ARGB lighting and a mirrored overlay to create an infinite mirror effect. Three 120-mm fans, also featuring ARGB covers, cool the radiator. The system will be available in black and white.
Royal Lord Single-Tower Cooler
The Royal Lord is a single-tower cooler designed for HEDT processors. It includes seven nickel-plated copper heat pipes with a diameter of 6 mm and a 120-mm high-static-pressure fan. The cooler supports large processor sockets, including Intel Socket E and AMD sTR5.
Burst Assassin 120 EVO
The Burst Assassin 120 EVO bears a close resemblance to its predecessor but features denser finning, decorative metal casing, and dual 120-mm fans for intake and exhaust. It incorporates six 6 mm heat pipes coated with a special black compound that enhances cooling.
Frozen Vortex 140 SE
The Frozen Vortex 140 SE is Thermalright’s largest air cooler. It’s a dual-tower unit encompassing 8-mm and 6-mm heat pipes. The centrally placed pipes are 8 mm in diameter for optimal contact.
The Frozen Vortex 140 SE, like the Royal Lord, has a solid-structure design, and features dual high-static-pressure fans – one 140 mm and one 120 mm. The larger fan is situated between the radiator sections at the cooler’s heart.
Peerless Assassin 90 SE
For compact builds, the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 90 SE is ideal. Standing at only 110 mm high, this dual-tower has four 6-mm heat pipes, and a 92-mm fan sits between the radiator sections. It will be available in black and white.
Assassin Spirit 120 Vision
Thermalright’s Assassin Spirit 120 Vision is a new single-section aluminum cooler incorporating a 1.54-inch LCD screen with 240 × 240 pixel resolution. The screen clarity is sufficient for displaying text and graphics. It connects to a USB motherboard slot and is managed via the manufacturer’s TRCC app. Real-time system details are relayed via the ACPI interface. In addition to the LCD screen, the 156 mm tall cooler also offers ARGB backlighting.
The Burst Assassin 120 Vision is a slight upgrade from the original, boasting a taller profile and an LCD screen.
Royal Knight 120
The Royal Knight 120 is a mid-sized dual-tower cooler sandwiched between the Frozen Vortex 140 and the Peerless Assassin 90 SE. It is equipped with six 6-mm heat pipes and a regular 25-mm fan nestled between the radiator sections.
Hyper Vision Series
Thermalright also showcased its Hyper Vision series of liquid coolers, which includes water blocks equipped with a removable 4-inch color screen boasting 480 × 480 pixel resolution.
The screen can be programmed to display any desired data and will support various decorative frames.
