The team at Owlcat Games, developers of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, have announced the release of their most comprehensive patch since the game’s launch. They have also shared information on the success of the project via Steam and GamesPress.
The patch, labelled as 1.1.28 by the authors, is referred to as “gigantic”, featuring over 1,800 changes, including extra content and highly-requested features. The changes include voiced dialogues in game’ s prologue and companions’ replies, addition of new visual effects and icons, expansion of some storylines, and several performance and optimization enhancements.
Notable 1.1.28 patch changes include
- Correction of incorrect display of epilogues
- Balance adjustments, including strengthening of the final boss Space Marines, weakening the “officer” archetype, among numerous others
- Reduction of reputation requirements for merchants by approximately 20%
- Fixes for several broken quests, dialogs as well as incorrectly functioning abilities and items
- Improved AI allies now minimize exposing the player to fire
- Cooperative mode undergoes synchronization fixes and mercenary hiring capabilities are added
- Incorporation of sorting options for talents and skills as well as their addition to favorites and quest display on the map
- Many items, including equipment, are now accessible to Marajai and Irliet, which were previously only available for human characters
