Dead ipaq? Strange thing happend today. While trying to browse my wireless network to access files on my server, my ipaq froze. No problem, i thought, just a quick soft reset. But no! The ipaq remained black. Next i took the battery out, still black. Tried to plug it into the power, not even the charging lights came on! Now i started to freak out, i resorted to a hard reset. Which thankfully brought the ipaq back to life. Within 5mins i had restored a backup and was functional again. It was very strange, the ipaq had frozen while doing the Map Drive section in Resco explorer. Has anyone else had this issue, or what should i try to avoid? Thanks. |

I had a similar occurrence with my 2750 a few weeks back…not sure why and it has not occurred again. I had the power plugged in to charge the device. When I removed the power…nothing was going to make it start. A hard reset brought it back to life and fortunately it has not occurred again.
Sometimes these strange phenomena occur…they are out there! __________________ Jack Cook Senior Editor, Dave’s iPAQ Microsoft MVP – Windows Mobile Devices NEW Dont forget our Podcast hotline telephone number in the US: 1-425-738-9506 available 24 hours a day 7 days a week or leave us a SKYPE Voicemail by clicking here .
