Wireless Activesync with 6315

Can I synch my 6315 via wifi? I used to do it with my Axim, but I’m having trouble figuring out how with the 6315.

Gracias.

Yes you can – if you have a wireless network. You need to have done one wired sync to establish connection between PC and IPAQ. After that it should simply be a question of initiating the sync from the Activesync program on the IPAQ and not the PC. Let us know if this works.

Regards,

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to work for me. First, I connect to my home network via wifi, and then open ActiveSync on my 6315. When I click on the Sync icon, it looks like it’s working for a split second, then it says Not Connected with an error listed on the bottom half of the screen. When I click on the error link, I get “Unable to connect. Verify your dialup or proxy settings are correct, and try again.”

I’m not sure how to fix this problem.

It sounds to me like you’re not connected to your home network via WiFi.

I have no problem surfing the internet through my home wifi connection. I’m not exactly sure what being connected to the home network entails, beyond that though.
