hx2110 Power Reset Problem Anyone having an issue with the hx2110’s after being left off for several hours/days and when you go to turn them on, the power button no longer will work (somewhat normal and not the problem). What is happening is that you have to hit the reset button on the bottom and the unit will soft reset, keeping all the data just fine – HOWEVER, and here is the problem: Our units are 75% of the time when this happens doing a HARD RESET and wiping the unit clean!!! Even though there is plenty of battery life left in it!!! I have my suspicions but wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this yet…. We have 3 units and it happens with all of them like clockwork – The same exact setup on our 7 h2210’s doesn’t cause this problem.

Hey, I’ve started experienceing the Soft-reset problem on my 2750. It’s been gradually becoming worse (from a couple times a week to just about every day). I can’t say I’ve had a hard reset yet, but I’ll be backing up more often if that’s the case.

I tried to contact HP support, but couldn’t get anywhere. Hopefully this issue will be addressed in future (if any) ROM updates.

Luckily the backup feature works (so far). The hard power off happens apparently after the machine reaches a level of power so low that it tells the machine to completely shut down with just enough power left for a power on via the reset method. Apparently the power button power off still keeps the machine active enough to remember what’s on the screen, what program(s) are running, etc… My problem is that coming out of this hard power on should yield a cold boot but no memory loss… ha ha ha on me, I get the “Align your screen” most of the time when this happens which means “Hi, You’re screwed and ha ha on you cause I obviously still have enough power to tell you about it if not most of my power”.
