ASRock Unveils Numerous Motherboards Based on AMD X870E Chipset at Computex 2024
ASRock showcased several motherboard models in their signature Pro, Steel, Phantom Gaming, and Taichi designs at Computex 2024. All motherboards are based on the AMD X870E chipset and are compatible with the Ryzen 9000, Ryzen 8000, and Ryzen 7000 series processors.

The X870E Taichi / X870E Taichi Lite: Designed For Different Form Factors With 27-Phase Power Supplies
The ASRock X870E Taichi and X870E Taichi Lite, while differing in form and design, share impressive 27-phase power subsystems with SPS phases, designed for a current strength of 110 A. Both models also boast dual PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, a single M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 slot, and three M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots. Each motherboard also features a 5-gigabit Realtek LAN network controller and high-quality ALC4082 audio codecs with ESS SABRE 9218 DAC amplifiers.
ASRock X870E Nova WiFi: 23-Phase VRM Subsystem and Extra M.2 Slot
The ASRock X870E Nova WiFi includes a 23-phase VRM power subsystem, a single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and features an additional M.2 (PCIe 3.0 x2) slot. The sound is run by the ALC 4048 codec, without any additional amplification.
ASRock X870 Riptide WiFi: Specifically Designed for Gamers
The gamer-centric ASRock X870 Riptide WiFi makes use of a 17-phase VRM power subsystem with 80 A Dr.MOS phases. This model offers a single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, one M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4, and three M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots. Additionally, this model stands out with a high-speed 2.5-gigabit Intel Killer network controller instead of Realtek.
ASRock X870 Steel Legend WiFi / X870 PRO RS WiFi: Versatile Motherboards for Varied Users
ASRock’s X870 Steel Legend WiFi and X870 PRO RS WiFi are more universal models catering to a variety of users. Both feature a 17-phase VRM power subsystem with 80 A Dr.MOS phases, a single M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4, and two M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots.
The X870 Pro RS WiFi also presents an additional M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 slot. While the Steel Legend WiFi model has been given the latest-generation Realtek ALC4082 audio codec, the Pro RS WiFi makes use of the more mature ALC1220 codec.
Based on current information, it appears these showcased motherboards are expected to be released for sale in July, in tandem with the launch of the Ryzen 9000 processors.
