MSI Launches GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super in Expert and Aero Editions

MSI Unveils Two New GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super Models

MSI has added two new versions to their ever-expanding range of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super graphics card, bringing their total to 14 different models. The additions come in the form of the Expert and Aero versions.

Expert Model Features and Design

Arguably the more interesting of the two is the Expert version. This particular GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super is equipped with an attractive cooling system, featuring fans on both sides. It carries similarities with NVIDIA’s reference Founders Edition, with several elements of its cooling system, such as the grille on the front of the card, reminiscent of GTX 400/500 Fermi architecture cards.

MSI had previously released the GeForce RTX 4080 Super in the same design. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, like its older model, has maintained a thickness of three expansion slots. This is a crucial detail to consider when choosing.

Standard Aero Design Features

MSI’s GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super Aero model is fitted with a simple cooling system featuring a tangential type fan. Until now, MSI only released the RTX 4060 in this design. NVIDIA does not particularly favor cards with this design, which are often used not for gaming but for computational tasks and cryptocurrency mining, as they are cheaper than specialized cards designed for these tasks. For this reason, NVIDIA had insisted that card manufacturers cease the production of RTX 3090 with cooling systems of this type.

Standard Aero design features

Given the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti’s increased performance GPU and memory buffer expansion from 12 to 16 gigabytes – useful for tasks related to artificial intelligence – Aero-version cards could foresee non-gaming applications.

Selling Price and Availability

According to VideoCardz, the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Aero is now available on Amazon, priced at $899, which is $100 more than the $800 recommended price for the RTX 4070 Ti Super model set by NVIDIA. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super Expert model has not yet been spotted in sales.
