AMD Releases Driver Supporting Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, and F1 24

AMD Rolls Out New Graphic Driver with Enhanced Capabilities

AMD has unveiled a latest version of its graphic driver, the Radeon Software Adrenalin 24.5.1 WHQL. This new addition is built for supporting games such as Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, and F1 24.

The Radeon Software Adrenalin 24.5.1 WHQL package also includes support for HYPR-Tune optimized gaming settings for games including Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition, Starfield, and The Last of Us Part I. AMD highlights that the HYPR-RX software package boosts gaming performance up to 136% on Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics cards for games like Baldur’s Gate 3, F1 23, and Resident Evil 4 among others. Furthermore, the same technology elevates gaming performance of the Ryzen 7 8700G processor’s integrated graphics by up to 86% in the same games.

This latest version of AMD’s graphic driver also manifests support for AI functions for software packages such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Blender, DaVinci Resolve, Topaz Photo & Video AI and others. Additionally, the new driver supports and accelerates the operation of low-level AI functions of popular frameworks like PyTorch and ONNX Runtime for Linux while working with specific models of Radeon RX 7000 series desktop graphics cards.

Solved Issues and Known Problems

The update fixed the following issues:

  • Intermittent application crashes or driver timeouts in games such as World of Warcraft or World of Warcraft Classic on RDNA 3 series graphic products.
  • Intermittent application crashes or driver timeouts in Overwatch 2 on Radeon RX 5000 graphics cards.
  • Periodic image stuttering after minimizing a game window with the performance metrics overlay activated.
  • Texture flickering in the game Hitman: Contracts.
  • Image distortion in Alan Wake 2 game when Radeon Boost function is active.

However, the update came with some known issues:

  • Issues with starting Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas games. A hotfix is currently under verification.
  • Image distortion in Alien Isolation game on Radeon 7000 graphics cards.
  • Distorted image observations in Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition game when Radeon Boost feature is enabled. As a temporary solution, users are advised not to use this feature.
  • Intermittent image distortions in Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut during the activation of Record & Streaming and HDR features that form part of AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition.
  • Games Max Payne 1 and Max Payne 2 may not launch on graphics cards with RDNA 3 architecture when the anti-aliasing feature is enabled.
  • Issues with performance metrics updating in Helldivers 2.
  • Audio and video desynchronization when recording using AV1 codec via capture feature in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition.
