Announcing Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II featuring campaigns for Adeptus Mechanicus and Necrons, first trailer and details revealed.

Kasedo Games and French developers Bulwark Studios have surprisingly announced the sequel to their turn-based strategy Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus at the Warhammer Skulls Showcase. The announcement came out of the blue.

In Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II, Vargard Nefershah awakens from a millennial slumber and rallies the legions of her dynasty to crush the aliens from Adeptus Mechanicus. In another corner of the galaxy, magos-dominus Faustinus is called upon to assist in the fight against the Necrons.

Introducing Dual Campaigns

Unlike its predecessor, Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II, the new game will feature two narrative campaigns: one for Adeptus Mechanicus and the other for Necrons. Both will depict the same story but from different viewpoints.

Gameplay Features

In the game, players will wield the power to dictate the destiny of an entire world. They will need to capture and defend regions from adversaries, build outposts underground and on the planet’s surface, and deploy leaders on the map to earn enhancements and bonuses.

On the battlefield, players can expect turn-based battles with squad control — each squad led by a unique leader with a distinctive development mechanism — and a cover system. The battles promise to be tougher, more dynamic, and tactically rich compared to the first game.
