Apple is set to release the new version of its mobile operating system, iOS 18, at the upcoming annual WWDC developer conference. Notably, one of the eye-catching features of iOS 18 will be the capability to create custom emojis utilizing artificial intelligence.

Emojis Tailored to the User’s Context

As reported by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple is in the process of developing an AI-backed feature capable of generating unique emojis that align with the context of the user’s text. This will enable iOS 18 to create an almost limitless number of personalized emojis for all situations, extending the existing library of standard emojis.

Real-time Emotion Expression with AI

This innovative feature means that users will no longer need to wait for annual iOS updates to acquire new emojis. Instead, the AI-enabled system will be capable of generating exceptional images in real-time that reflect the context and meaning of the text being typed.

Further Personalization Features

In addition, iOS 18 is also expected to allow users to modify the color of application icons on the home screen for deeper personalization of the interface. There will also be greater flexibility in arranging icons and widgets, currently constrained within a rigid grid.
