Be quiet! has unveiled its new range of Light Base computer cases at Computex 2024, according to TechPowerUp. This series includes the Light Base 900 and Light Base 600, marking the manufacturer’s first venture into ‘aquarium-style’ cases, featuring a tempered glass front and side walls to showcase the interior components.
Light Base Cases Featuring Abundant Lighting
The Light Base models, as suggested by the name, are distinguished by their prolific lighting. The superior Light Base 900 model comes equipped with a 1.5-meter ARGB strip, and one of its configurations (Light Base 900 FX) includes four built-in ARGB Light Wings fans.
Flexibility and Functionality in Light Base 900
The Light Base 900 stands out with its flexible motherboard orientation, allowing for left or right-side placement and 90-degree rotation. The case’s legs are easily disassembled and can be reassembled on the other side.
The Light Base 900 is a large case that accommodates motherboards up to E-ATX. It is compatible with unique backside power connection designs like the Asus BTF, MSI Project Zero, and Gigabyte Project Stealth. The case comes with a holder for heavy graphics cards, considering the various positioning of motherboards.
Advanced Cooling and Storage Solutions
The Light Base 900 is a two-section case that conceals the power supply, drives, and cables from user view. It supports simultaneous installation of two 420-mm liquid cooling radiators (top and bottom) along with a 360-mm side radiator and a 120-mm rear radiator. Additionally, three 140-mm fans can be installed at the top, bottom, and right interior side wall. One more such fan can be fitted on the rear wall. The top and bottom parts of the Light Base 900, along with their dust filters, can be disassembled to install fans or radiators outside the case.
The case also includes two seats for 3.5-inch HDDs and two compartments for 2.5-inch drives. The Light Base 900 will be available in black and white versions, with four pre-installed 140-mm ARGB fans matching the case color. The Light Base 900 will hit the market in September-October with prices ranging from $179.90/€169.90 to $239.90/€229.90 depending on the model and color.
The Compact Light Base 600 Model
The Light Base 600 is essentially a smaller version of the Light Base 900 model. It supports liquid cooling radiators up to 360 mm and motherboards up to ATX size. It shares the same motherboard mounting options as the Light Base 900, including support for reversed connection motherboards.
The Light Base 600 features a 1.33-meter ARGB strip and supports the same array of storage options as the Light Base 900. It also includes a hidden spaces for cables, power supply, drives and a holder for the graphic card. The Light Base 600 FX model includes four pre-installed 140-mm Light Wings LX fans.
The Light Base 600, available in September, is priced from $149.90/€139.90 to $194.90/€184.90 depending on the model and color.
