Be Quiet! Unveils Relatively Compact Dark Rock 5 Cooler Priced at $70

Be quiet! Launches Compact Dark Rock 5 CPU Cooler at Computex 2024

Be quiet! has unveiled the Dark Rock 5, a relatively compact CPU cooler, at the Computex 2024 exhibition. This model is a more compact version of the previously released Dark Rock 5 Pro, standing at a height of 161 mm. Despite its smaller stature, the cooler promises high cooling performance, quiet operation, and compatibility with other PC components.

Versatile Design with Effective Cooling System

The Dark Rock 5’s asymmetrical design permits the use of tall memory modules within the PC without interfering with motherboards featuring high VRM heatsinks. The cooler components include an aluminum radiator coated in black ceramic-particle paint and six 6 mm copper heat pipes converging on a nickel-plated copper contact plate.

A 120-mm Silent Wings 4 fan with PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) controls ensures effective cooling. The rubber-framed fan design negates the need for additional vibration-reducing spacers.

Additional Features

Unlike many coolers on the market, the Dark Rock 5 supports an optional second fan installation to increase airflow. A decorative magnetic cover adorns the top of the cooler, cloistering the heat pipes.

Pricing and Availability

According to Be quiet!, the Dark Rock 5 will hit the market later this month, priced around $70 (€70). The package includes a branded screwdriver as part of the cooler set.
