China Releases Its First Fully Sovereign Motherboard with an Integrated Processor

The Beijing-based tech company, Beijing Jite Intelligent Technology, has unveiled the GM7-2602-02 motherboard. The company claims this offering as the first mother-board completely assembled with Chinese components. The mini-ITX model sports an integrated 8-core Feiteng D2000 processor, designed on Arm-architecture by Tianjin Phytium Technology.

The Feiteng D2000 processor, launched back in 2021, boasts a clock speed of up to 2.3 GHz, supporting SM2, SM3, SM4, and SM9 instructions. It houses 8MB of L2 cache memory (2MB per core) and 4MB L3 cache memory. The chip can support up to 32GB LPDDR4/DDR4-3200 RAM and 34 PCIe 3.0 lanes, split into four PCIe 3.0 x8 and two PCIe 3.0 x1 sockets. It also comes equipped with dual Gigabit network sockets, 32 GPIO lines, and compatibility for CAN, UART, I2C, SPI, and LPC interfaces. The processor supports built-in sound but lacks integrated graphics.

The GM7-2602-02 motherboard from Beijing Jite Intelligent Technology, in turn, is kitted out with dual SO-DIMM DDR4 memory module connectors, a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, CAN and TTL ports, along with two RS-232 and two RS-485. With a measurement of 170 × 170 mm, it is designed for building compact home and commercial PCs.

In addition to existing specifications, the newly launched motherboard also includes an M.2 slot for NVMe drives, external VGA and HDMI ports, two USB 3.0 ports, two Gigabit LANs, and a pair of 3.5-mm audio outputs.

The GM7-2602-02 motherboard is currently available on the online trading platform JD.com, listed at a price of 4880 yuan ($678).
