Coverage from MSI’s Booth at Computex 2024: Monitors and Computers for Gamers and Businesses

MSI’s exhibition at Computex 2024 presents an array of products designed for both personal and commercial use, with a distinctive focus on gaming monitors and computers, and business solutions. Let’s delve into the standout innovations.

Revolutionary Gaming Monitor: MEG 321URX QD-OLED

A significant highlight at MSI’s Computex 2024 exhibit is the MEG 321URX QD-OLED monitor, billed by MSI as the world’s first curved gaming AI monitor. The monitor not only features an advanced QD-OLED matrix, but it also supports the A.I Sky Sight technology that uses AI to automatically detect an opponent’s position in gaming scenarios for superior gaming strategy.

The 32-inch display monitor has a 4K resolution (3840 × 2160 pixels) and a refresh rate of 240 Hz, with a responsiveness of 0.03 ms. The MEG 321URX QD-OLED has been certified with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400. Its unique features include a radiator and a graphene panel for enhanced cooling and OLED Care 2.0 technology to reduce screen burn-out risks.

Twin-Operation Mode Monitor: MPG 321CUPF

A second notable release is the MPG 321CUPF, the world’s first curved gaming monitor that supports the dual-operation ability. This monitor can work in 4K (3840 ×2160 pixels) resolution at a 160 Hz refresh rate or a Full HD (1920 ×1080 pixels) mode at 320 Hz refresh rate. With a frameless VA matrix design and 1500R curvature radius, this monitor supports not only PCs but also gaming consoles. The Console Mode supports a 120 Hz refresh rate at UHD/4K resolution on next-gen consoles like PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

MSI MAG Series Innovations

MSI’s Computex 2024 exhibit also features a range of new products from the MSI MAG series, including the MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 monitor that utilizes Samsung’s QD-OLED panels. This monitor differs by having a lower refresh rate of 240 Hz. Enhanced cooling achieved by using a special radiator and a graphene panel extends the lifespan of the QD-OLED panel, with OLED Care 2.0 technology for added longevity.

The MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 resolution is 2560 × 1440 pixels, with a GtG response time of 0.03 ms and brightness of 250 cd/m2 (SDR) peak value of 1000 cd/m2. Screen supports variable refresh rate (VRR), receiving certification under the VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black standard.

AI-Based Gaming PCs

Also showcased is the gaming PC MAG Infinite E1 14th, which utilizes MSI AI Engine software based on AI for performance optimization and tuning image, sound, and lighting parameters, in accordance with application usage.

Another gaming PC on display is the MEG Vision X AI featuring a 13.3-inch touch display on the front panel. The computer is equipped with MSI AI Engine software based on AI for optimization and an AI chatbot, AI Artist x MSI Chat. AI Specialist x MSI Chat can generate images through a textual request and respond to queries without cloud connection. The PC uses a liquid cooling system to dissipate heat from the components, and the PC’s cooling system effectiveness is boosted by the Frozr AI technology.

MSI’s Corporate Solutions

MSI has dedicated a separate section of its exhibit to corporate solutions.

The newly introduced monitor in this sector, PRO MP275QPDG, features a 27-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 100 Hz. This monitor comes with a KVM module allowing multiple computers to be connected and operated from a single workstation. The monitor, designed primarily for comfortable office work, includes a webcam, and has various ports like RJ-45 Ethernet, DisplayPort 1.2, two HDMI 2.0 ports, four USB ports, and a headphone jack.

Another one of MSI’s corporate solution, the all-in-one Modern AM273Q AI 1UMG with an AI support comes equipped with an IPS screen with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels. The screen includes MSI’s proprietary technology, the MSI EyesErgo, that significantly reduces eye strain by minimizing flickering and toning down harmful blue light intensity.

The all-in-one is built on the Intel Core Ultra 7 155U processor with a neural processor unit (NPU). It features Instant Display technology, allowing it to be used as an external display for another PC when connected via USB Type-C and HDMI. The all-in-one also has a pop-up webcam with Full HD resolution. The product is made from recycled plastic, and its production line runs on 92% renewable energy.

The PRO MP271AP E2 Monitor with a 27 inch IPS panel and resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels supports a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz. The MSI Power Link feature allows an MSI mini-PC to power up simultaneously with the monitor. The monitor has an FHD webcam with a microphone and supports the TÜV-certified MSI EyesErgo technology to minimize harmful blue light intensity for the eyes and flickering.

Also part of the exhibit is the mini-PC Cubi NUC 13 MQG / Cubi NUC 1MG with a casing volume of 0.826 l, support for up to 4 displays, and VESA mount. Specific specs include the processor up to Intel Core i7-1365U (Cubi NUC 13 MQG) and up to Intel Core 7 150U (Cubi NUC 1MG), two slots for SO-DIMM memory modules, two slots for M.2 SSD drives, one slot for a 2.5 HDD/SSD, two 2.5G LAN connectors, and a dTPM module.
