Release Date for ‘Children of the Sun’, a Tactical Shooter Puzzle, Revealed by Devolver Digital and Rene Rother
Publisher Devolver Digital and German indie developer Rene Rother have announced the release date for the tactical shooter-puzzle, ‘Children of the Sun’. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer.
The game, ‘Children of the Sun’, was officially introduced in early February and was expected to be released during 2024. The developer not only managed to stick to the schedule but also won’t make fans wait for long.
Interestingly, ‘Children of the Sun’ will be available for sale as early as April 9 of this year, exclusively for PCs on Steam. A free demo version of the game is still available at the Valve service page.
Upon the announcement, Rother addressed gamers stating, “Now that the release date has been made public, I probably need to finish the game. Ha! I am eager to see it out in the wild. I look forward to hearing what you think about it!”
The game revolves around a furious girl waging a solitary war against a cult that destroyed her life. The heroine must take down one sect member after another, with only one bullet available for each level. However, this bullet is controllable.
Rother describes ‘Children of the Sun’ as a unique third-person shooter game, combining tactical shooting at targets, solving puzzles, and stealth elements. Meanwhile, Devolver Digital calls the game a ‘ballistic puzzle’.
Players can expect an expressive and intriguing plot about a deadly journey into darkness, the ability to replay, leaderboards for competitions with friends and others around the world.
