Fresh Intel Arc driver boosts performance of Core Ultra processors in DX11 games

Intel has unveiled the latest package of its graphic driver, Arc Graphics 31.0.101.5333 WHQL, which includes support for the game Last Epoch and the gaming update of Sea of Thieves for DirectX 12. Moreover, the company has significantly optimized the gaming performance of its Arc A series graphics cards and the integrated Arc graphics of the Meteor Lake processors that support DirectX 11.

Compared to version 31.0.101.5252, the new Arc Graphics 31.0.101.5333 WHQL driver increases the gaming performance of the integrated graphics of the Core Ultra processors:

  • up to 65% in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate (DX11) at 1080p resolution and medium quality settings;
  • up to 17% in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (DX11) at 1080p resolution and normal quality settings;
  • up to 25% in Divinity Original Sin 2 (DX11) at 1080p resolution and medium quality settings;
  • up to 8% in Far Cry 5 (DX11) at 1080p resolution and normal quality settings;
  • up to 19% in Halo: The Master Chief Collection (DX11) at 1080p resolution and standard quality settings;
  • up to 24% in It Takes Two (DX11) at 1080p resolution and medium quality settings;
  • up to 18% in Just Cause 3 (DX11) at 1080p resolution and medium quality settings;
  • up to 155% in Just Cause 4 (DX11) at 1080p resolution and medium quality settings;
  • up to 14% in Palworld (DX11) at 1080p resolution and medium quality settings;
  • up to 9% in Rise of the Tomb Raider (DX11) at 1080p resolution and medium quality settings;
  • up to 9% in Rust (DX11) at 1080p resolution and medium quality settings;
  • up to 6% in SCUM (DX11) at 1080p resolution and medium quality settings;
  • up to 27% in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI (DX11) at 1080p resolution and medium quality settings;
  • up to 49% in Snowrunner (DX11) at 1080p resolution and medium quality settings;
  • up to 7% in Warframe (DX11) at 1080p resolution and medium quality settings;
  • up to 8% in XCOM 2 (DX11) at 1080p resolution and medium quality settings.

Here are some of the known issues:

  • Errors may occur in Topaz Video AI when using certain models for video enhancement;
  • Distortions may be observed on the terrain during gameplay in Diablo IV (DX12);
  • Periodic crashes in Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection (DX12) after launching the game;
  • Crashes in Autodesk Maya when working with the SPECapc test package;
  • Crashes in Blender when rendering certain scenes on systems with a specific memory configuration;
  • Periodic crashes in Dragon Quest X Online (DX9) when using the integrated graphics of the Core 12-14 generation processors;
  • When running the benchmark in Serif Affinity Photo 2, the application may crash;
  • Crashes in Procyon AI when checking performance in Float32 operations.
