Galax Unveils GeForce RTX 3050 6GB LP Video Card in a Novel All-White Design
In a striking new release, Galax has unveiled its low-profile GeForce RTX 3050 6GB LP. Taking innovation to another level, this video card stands out with its entirely white body, including the printed circuit board (PCB).
Features and Design
The Galax GeForce RTX 3050 6GB LP White is potentially the first-ever low-profile video card built on a white PCB. It sports a compact cooling system featuring two 40mm diameter fans. Despite its low-profile design, the card will take up two expansion slots in a PC case.
Galax has designed this novel video card with a slight GPU overclock. Yet, it maintains an energy consumption in line with the benchmark value of 70 Watts. As an energy-saving feature, this model requires no external power connectors, deriving all its power supply from the PCIe x16 slot on the motherboard.
Performance and Connectivity
The Boost frequency of the graphics processor on Galax GeForce RTX 3050 6GB LP White has been declared as up to 1485 MHz, noting a 15 MHz increase over the benchmark value. However, the overclocking profile needs to be activated through Galax’s proprietary software. The device comes with a unique mix of video output ports, namely two HDMI 2.1 and two DisplayPort 1.4a interfaces.
Price and Availability
The new GeForce RTX 3050 6GB LP model has not hit the market yet, and its price remains unannounced. Most GeForce RTX 3050 6GB variants from different manufacturers are sold at the recommended $169 price or slightly higher, at $179. The latter price often applies to models with factory overclocking.
