Galax Releases “Turbocharged” GeForce RTX 4070 Super Classic and RTX 4070 Ti Super Classic Graphics Cards

Galax has unveiled the GeForce RTX 4070 Super Classic and RTX 4070 Ti Super Classic graphics cards, both featuring a tangential type cooling system. Unlike the RTX 4060 Ti model launched last year with the same design, these new offerings occupy two expansion slots in the PC case instead of one.

The GeForce RTX 4070 Super Classic and RTX 4070 Ti Super Classic cards share identical cooling systems and external connectors. This includes three DisplayPort 1.4a ports and a single HDMI 2.1 port.

The cooling system cover has a cutting above the radiator – a feature theoretically enhancing heat dissipation and subsequently, the cooling quality. This design is seen in previous Nvidia graphics cards and last year’s Galax GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Classic.

These new releases do not come with additional factory overclocking. The GeForce RTX 4070 Super Classic incorporates a graphics processor with 7168 CUDA cores, operating at a frequency of up to 2475 MHz. It offers 12 GB of GDDR6X memory with support for the 192-bit bus and a speed of 21 Gbps per pin, with a power consumption of 220 Watts.

The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super Classic model is equipped with a GPU of 8448 CUDA cores operating at up to 2610 MHz. It provides 16 GB of GDDR6X memory with support for a 256-bit bus and a speed of 21 Gbps per pin. It has a power consumption of 285 Watts.

For additional power, both cards come with 12+4 contact 12VHPWR connectors located at the rear end. A power supply of 650 Watts is recommended for use with the RTX 4070 Super, while a 750 Watts for the RTX 4070 Ti Super. Both models measure 280 × 126 × 41 mm.

Galax has not yet released any information regarding the price of these new graphics cards.
