Just a day after the launch of the newest GeForce RTX 4070 Super graphics card, some retailers in various countries are already cutting their prices. Although the official recommended price for this new release is $599, some stores have deemed this overpriced.
Price Drops in Poland
According to the portal VideoCardz, one of Poland’s largest computer components retailers, X-Kom, has reduced prices for some RTX 4070 Super models from the recommended 2999 to 2849 Polish zloty (a 5% reduction, from $740 to $705). The discount applies, for example, to the Gainward GeForce RTX 4070 Super Ghost without factory overclocking. This card is among those on sale at NVIDIA’s recommended price.
It’s worth noting that the same Polish store reduced prices on the standard RTX 4070 in December. While in September the card was available from 2880 zlotys ($712), the most affordable model could be purchased for 2650 zlotys ($655) in December.
Price Cuts in Other Countries
GeForce RTX 4070 Super prices are also falling in other nations. In Austria, the recommended cost of the graphics card is €659. However, the DiTech store has reduced the price by 4.6% and offers the most affordable version of the new product for €629. In some German stores, the card can be purchased for €643 instead of the recommended €649 (a 3% discount).
Impact on Global Prices
It’s evident that the individual initiatives by some sellers will not influence global prices for the GeForce RTX 4070 Super. However, such examples show that the card is not in high demand at the beginning of its sales. On the other hand, there was a virtual queue yesterday in the U.S for the cards at the recommended price of $599.
