New Independent Reviews Reveal GeForce RTX 4070 Super is 18% Faster
Independent reviews of the GeForce RTX 4070 Super graphics card are scheduled to surface on the 16th of January. A number of details are already leaking online, including information that the GeForce RTX 4070 Super outperforms the standard RTX 4070 by up to 18% in 3DMark graphics tests.
GeForce RTX 4070 Super Specifications
The GeForce RTX 4070 Super features an AD104 graphics processor with 7168 CUDA cores, which is a 20% increase from the original RTX 4070 model (5888 CUDA cores). Despite the increase in execution units, the memory size and speed of the RTX 4070 Super remains unchanged. It maintains the same 12 GB of GDDR6X memory with a speed of 21 Gbps per contact, supporting a 192-bit bus and the same bandwidth capacity of 504 GBps. The card’s power consumption has gone up by 20W compared to the original RTX 4070, with a total power consumption of 220W.
Performance Tests: RTX 4070 Super vs. RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4070
Performance tests reveal that the GeForce RTX 4070 Super is between 5% and 8% slower, averaging 7% slower, than the RTX 4070 Ti model, and between 15% and 19% faster, averaging 18% faster, than the RTX 4070.
NVIDIA’s New Strategy for RTX 4070 Model Line
NVIDIA plans to discontinue the original GeForce RTX 4070 Ti once the RTX 4070 Ti Super model becomes available for purchase. Meanwhile, the original RTX 4070 will continue to be sold alongside the Super version, with its price reduced from $599 to $549.

The GeForce RTX 4070 Super goes on sale on the 17th of January.
