Geometric Future Reveals Textile Computer Case that Folds Like a Box

Innovative Computer Case Unveiled by Geometric Future

At Computex 2024, Geometric Future, a start-up founded by ex-InWin staff, has unveiled a novel PC case named Model 0 Flamingo. The design concept allows the case to be literally built around the motherboard.

Easy Assembly and Unique Material

The Model 0 Flamingo assembles seamlessly with the motherboard positioned at the center while the side panel wraps around it. Assembled with inbuilt magnets within the panels for well-rounded support and metal grating ventilation holes at the top and side panels. Interestingly, the case is made from fireproof fabric material reminiscent of felt.

Design Details

The top portion of the case accommodates a large circular ventilation grid, alongside a smaller circle that serves as the power button emitting a tactile click upon press. The dimensions of the case stands at 8.2 × 20.57 × 20.57 cm, making it suited for constructing a Mini-ITX format mini PC.

Limitations and Pricing

However, it’s worth mentioning that the assembled case does not offer space for a discrete graphics card, requiring one to opt for onboard graphics. There isn’t room available for additional fans either. After assembly, only 5.99 cm of space is left above the CPU socket, implying the necessity for a low-profile cooler. The Model 0 Flamingo package does include a compact 200W power supply unit. The case is expected to retail later this year at a price range of $90 to $110.
