I still have no formal information about TMobile pulling the h6315 as of today but will make sure I inform you the minute I have the information. But I do have an update on the official US ROM release for the h6315. HP is working on the ROM with enhancements in the following areas..
o Updated WLAN Driver o New GSM/GPRS Firmware o New Bluetooth Stack o Other various feature enhancements
HP has already released a Worldwide English Software Maintenance ROM version for h6340 (SoftPaq SP29511; English) and h6365 (SoftPaq SP29760; English) models which are sold in the Europe and Asia Pacific. This maintenance release was made available February 14, 2005 at HP. Other localized languages are planned for these specific models, including Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Traditional Chinese, and will be released by mid-to late May ’05.
HP is also in the process of developing a Software Maintenance ROM release for the h6315 model sold in the United States under its partnership with T-Mobile. HP says the anticipated release date for this maintenance release is April/May 2005, and will be available from HP at www.hp.com/support FOR FREE!
Hopefully that gives some more direction for our community. As always I will communicate more information as I receive it.
