It’s Too Early to Retire AM4: AMD Introduces Affordable Ryzen 7 5700X3D and 5700, Ryzen 5 5600GT and 5500GT Processors

AMD has unveiled four new additions to the Ryzen 5000 series for the Socket AM4 platform. The announcement affirms the tech giant’s support for the platform, launched in 2016. Joining the lineup are the eight-core Ryzen 7 5700X3D and Ryzen 7 5700, and the six-core Ryzen 5 5600GT and Ryzen 5 5500GT, designed to offer a cost-effective solution for PCs.

Features of the New Processors

The Ryzen 7 5700X3D features eight computational cores using Zen 3 architecture with 16 virtual threads support. Its base frequency is 3.0 GHz, while the Boost frequency tops at 4.1 GHz. The Ryzen 7 5700X3D carries an L3 cache of 96 MB out of a total of 100 MB cache memory, thanks to the 3D V-Cache technology. The chip’s power consumption is rated at 105W.
