Lian Li Releases Compact SUP-01 Case with Front Placement for Video Card

The SUP-01, a compact PC tower case announced at the Computex 2023 exhibition a year ago, has now been made available for purchase by tech company, Lian Li.

A Compact Tower with Unconventional Setup

The new model, encapsulating a volume of 45 liters within dimensions of 403.45 × 212 × 534mm, supports the installation of ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards. Notably, SUP-01 offers the compatibility with motherboards that feature connectors on the reverse side.

Internal Segmentation for Optimal Airflow

Lian Li SUP-01 structure divides its internal space into three compartments, providing an optimized airflow pathway to the video card, motherboard, and the CPU cooling system.

Video Card Installation

The SUP-01 proposes a unique alignment for the video card which is mounted vertically along the front wall. The setup is facilitated by an included RGB-lit PCIe 4.0 riser adapter with 510 mm cables and supports GPUs up to 400 mm in length and four expansion slots in thickness.

Expansion Slots

The tower case encases a total of 11 expansion slots. Seven of them are designed for low-profile GPUs and expansion cards in a horizontal position, with an additional four provided for the unique front-facing vertical GPU installation.

Perforated Case for Airflow

The left wall of the SUP-01 is made from tempered glass, while the top, front, and right walls are constructed from perforated metal, enhancing air circulation. Behind the right wall, a detachable two-section modular frame is found. This space accommodates a 280 or 360 mm CPU cooler radiator and up to three 120-mm fans. The fans, included in the delivery package, ensure appropriate dispersion of heat generated by the video card.

Internal Storage and Power Supply Configurations

The internal structure also provisions for the installation of an ATX power supply unit up to 220 mm in length and a rear 120-mm fan. Storage-wise, it includes two combination slots for 2.5 or 3.5 inches storage drives, in addition to two extra slots for 2.5-inch SSDs.

Accessible Port Configuration

A shift is noticeable in the location of the front panel connectors, now conveniently situated at the bottom of the left side wall. It comprises two USB 3.0 Type-A, one USB 3.1 Type-C, along with a combined 3.5-mm audio output.

Commerce Details

Lian Li SUP-01 is priced at $149.99. It is available in both black and white versions. Pre-orders have been accepted since May 30.
