At the Digital Expo 2024, Lian Li showcased several of its upcoming items, including the innovative, L-shaped Edge power supply units (PSUs). This design was developed with the aim of simplifying access to power ports, which can often be a challenge when integrating new cables, even in cases with sufficient space for a PSU.
The ingenious construction is targeted towards dual-chamber cases where wiring layout is crucial. The L-shaped Edge PSUs grant unimpeded access to each port on the side of the case, aiding cable management and minimizing tangling. While Lian Li emphasizes the compatibility of these PSUs with most standard cases, it particularly highlights their suitability for dual-chamber designs—which not only appeal to enthusiasts but are also actively promoted by the manufacturer itself.
Beyond its unique design, the PSU also boasts a built-in USB hub, decreasing the need for individual cable routing to internal USB ports. The 1300W Edge model holds an 80 Plus Platinum certification, and Lian Li has plans to launch 80 Plus Gold models with 1000W and 850W capacities. While conforming to ATX 3.0 power standards, these PSUs can connect a 600W 12VHWPR cable for high-performing graphics cards. Consumers will have the choice between black and white models for the Edge1300.
