Maxsun Presents MS-Terminator B760BKB D5 Motherboard with Rear PCIe 5.0 x16 Slot

Electronics company Maxsun unveiled its innovative motherboard, called the MS-Terminator B760BKB D5, at the Computex 2024 exhibition. What sets this model apart is its unique design with the PCIe x16 slot, typically used for connecting graphics cards, situated on the reverse side.

While several motherboard manufacturers have begun placing power connectors on the reverse side (i.e., Asus BTF, MSI Project Zero, and Gigabyte Project Stealth), this is the first instance of a reverse-side PCIe slot. Maxsun’s novel board utilizes their BKB format (a variant of ITX form-factor), specifically designed for compact A4 ITX computer cases where the motherboard and video card are located in close proximity.

The presence of a full-scale PCIe x16 slot on the board’s reverse side eliminates the need for a specialized riser adapter, simplifying the installation process and ensuring interference-free signal transmission between GPU and CPU. The PCIe slot on the reverse of the MS-Terminator B760BKB D5 is compliant with PCIe 5.0 standards.

The board also features a PCIe x4 slot on the front side, two M.2 slots (one on the front and another on the back), and four SATA III ports.

For the MS-Terminator B760BKB D5, a 10-phase VRM power subsystem with an 8+1+1 phase scheme is also reported. This configuration is more than capable of managing not only office PCs but also gaming systems based on Intel processors for LGA 1700.
