MaxSun unveils the world’s first GeForce RTX 4070 Super with a pair of 8-pin power connectors

Chinese firm MaxSun challenges the status quo with the introduction of their GeForce RTX 4070 Super iCraft graphics card. Contradicting previous whispers surrounding NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4000 Super series, this model features two standard 8-pin connectors, instead of the 12+4-pin 12VHPWR power connectors Nvidia had reportedly insisted on.

Interestingly, MaxSun’s other two RTX 4070 Super versions stick to the rumored 12+4-pin power connectors. The GeForce RTX 4070 Super iCraft distinguishes itself not just within MaxSun’s offerings, but across the entire market. The market has nearly 70 different RTX 4070 Super models, all favouring the 12+4-pin connector.

The graphics card’s dual 8-pin PCIe connectors are supported by pictures and a description provided on MaxSun’s official website for the RTX 4070 Super iCraft.

The RTX 4070 Super iCraft touts a boost in GPU speed up to 2640 MHz, which is 165 MHz above the standard. The new model’s power consumption sits at 245 Watts, hence MaxSun’s recommendation of using a power supply with at least 650 Watts capacity.

Moulded within a 317 × 132 × 46 mm frame, the graphics card takes up two PC case expansion slots. It sports a cooling system with three fans accompanied by RGB lighting.
