Nextorage introduces NN5PRO – a PCIe 5.0 SSD with Dual Cooling Radiator

Nextorage NN5PRO NVMe SSDs: Double Radiator Equipped, PCIe 5.0 Compatibility Unveiled

Technology company Nextorage has launched its new NN5PRO series of NVMe storage devices. The NN5PRO series features two NVMe SSDs with storage capacities of 1 terabyte (TB) and 2 TB, labeled NN5PRO-1TB1BH and NN5PRO-2TB1BH respectively. Both storage devices adhere to the PCIe 5.0 standard specifications.

According to Nextorage, the new series is intended for digital content creators who work with large 4K and 8K resolution video files, data processing specialists in need of reliable SSDs capable of withstanding prolonged, high-demand usage and gamers.

Powered by the flagship Phison E26 memory controller and 3D NAND TLC flash memory chips, the 1 TB SSD operates with 2GB of DDR4 cache memory, while the 2 TB SSD comes with twice that amount, 4GB DDR4. Both devices also feature impressive read and write speeds: the 1 TB model handles up to 11,700 and 9,500 megabytes per second (MB/s) read and write speeds, while the 2 TB SSD climbs to 12,400 and 11,800 MB/s. Random read and write operations for the 1TB and 2TB models are 1.3 million and 1.4 million Input/Output Operations Per Second (IOPS), respectively, while random write speed is 1.4 million IOPS for both SSDs. The endurance for the 1TB SSD is rated at 700 TBW (Terabytes Written), while the 2TB model doubles this to 1,400 TBW. Power consumption ranges between 10 and 11 watts.

To ensure efficient cooling, the SSDs are fitted with double radiators containing multiple heat pipes. One radiator is exclusively for cooling the memory controller and the other takes care of the flash memory chips. This arrangement facilitates more effective distribution of heat dissipation among the components, according to the manufacturer.

Users are recommended to ensure sufficent space in their computers for installation before using the Nextorage NN5PRO SSDs.

The 1 TB NN5PRO-1TB1BH SSD has been priced at $239.99, while the 2 TB NN5PRO-2TB1BH model is priced at $399.99.
