CD Projekt RED Announces Release of Update 2.12 for Cyberpunk 2077
Polish studio CD Projekt RED has announced the release of update 2.12 for Cyberpunk 2077 and the Phantom Liberty expansion. The primary purpose of this patch is to address issues that arose with the release of version 2.11.
It’s essential to recall that a significant complaint following the release of 2.11 was the malfunctioning of the new “Hybrid Processor Configuration” feature in “High-Performance Core Priority” mode.
CD Projekt RED assures that, in collaboration with Intel, they have resolved the glitch leading to slowdowns when “High Performance Core Priority” was enabled.
In addition to this, on PCs the issue with changing the key of the radio port and resetting bodies on AZERTY keyboards were fixed, as were crashes on devices supporting Razer Chroma technology, and two issues related to ray tracing:
- Crashes on Steam Deck when ray tracing is enabled
- Characters’ hair being overly bright inside vehicles when playing with ray tracing
Specifically for Xbox consoles, developers have also fixed infinite loading, hanging and crashes of Cyberpunk 2077 that were occurring with certain save files.
Changes for all target platforms include:
- Fixed a bug preventing access to the menu, inventory, stash, phone calls, or fast travel
- Improved gamepad cursor visibility in menu, including when using computers or keyboards (primarily useful for Steam Deck, but also relevant for consoles and PCs)
- Bug fixes and balance tweaks in quests such as “New Dawn”, “Container Mission”, “Image Recognition”, “Storm Riders”, “For Whom the Bell Tolls”
- Eliminated the appearance of groups of invincible enemies in Night City
- The game will now correctly perceive “Sound Shock” as a spy script
- The “Biodine Berserk” implant now properly increases the critical hit chance due to a reaction-based orientation
The Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.12 and Phantom Liberty are now available for download on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X and S. Future updates for the game will become less frequent as CD Projekt RED gradually shifts focus to work on the sequel.
