Taiwan-based company AGi unveiled its latest advances in solid-state drives (SSDs) and memory modules at the Computex 2024 exhibition. These state-of-the-art products, designed for both desktops and laptops, include external SSDs and high-capacity, high-speed memory cards.
AGi’s High-Speed SSDs
AGi showcased several high-speed M.2 2280 format SSDs with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. The AI838 model tops the performance chart with a sequential reading speed of up to 7400 MB/s and a writing speed up to 6700 MB/s. It’ll be available in 1, 2, and 4 TB versions. To maintain stable working conditions under high-heat generation, AI838 is equipped with an aluminum radiator.
Joining its high-performance line-up, AGi also showcased a new version of AI838 at Computex, poised to deliver 8 and 16 TB capacity in the same compact M.2 2280 form. These SSDs, powered by Innogrit IG5236 controller, will deliver speeds of up to 7000 MB/s for sequential reading and 6000 MB/s for writing.
Alongside the high-performance range, AGi has a less speedy PCIe 4.0 SSD – the AI818 model, also in M.2 2280 format, which offers speeds of 5200 MB/s and 4700 MB/s for reading and writing respectively. It is available in 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB versions.
AGi’s PCIe 3.0 Solid-State Drives
AGi also offers PCIe 3.0 SSDs – models AI218 and AI298. The former comes in versions ranging from 256 GB to 4 TB, offering a sequential reading speed of 3700 MB/s and writing speed of 2950 MB/s. AI298 offers reading and writing speeds of 2400 MB/s and 1800 MB/s, respectively. It is available in versions ranging from 512 GB to 2 TB.
AGi’s SATA III SSDs and Memory Modules
AGi’s SATA III SSDs, despite their lower speed, offer higher storage capacity at an attractively low price. Showcasing one of them, AGi presented the 8 TB AI238 model built on the Realtek RM1136 controller, offering up to 550 MB/s reading and 450 MB/s writing speeds.
AGi’s Memory Modules
AGi also announced DDR4 and DDR5 memory modules for desktops and laptops. For instance, in the UD858 series, AGi offers DDR5 modules ranging from 6000 MT/s to 8000 MT/s and 16 GB- available as 32 GB sets. The similar UD848 DDR4 modules offer speeds up to 3600 MT/s and the same capacity.
