MTS has highlighted the outcomes of its True Tech Day 2.0 conference. The event drew significant interest from IT professionals, establishing it as one of Russia’s largest IT conferences. This year’s core theme was the intersection of science and technology, comprising a common thread that bound all conference presentations.
The conference was inaugurated by MTS President Vyacheslav Nikolaev, who highlighted the firm’s transition from a traditional telecommunication operator to a multifaceted IT company equipped to offer contemporary and competitive business solutions. Nikolaev assured, “We can do this beautifully, quickly, and conveniently.”
Leonid Gokhberg, the First Vice Chancellor of the National Research University’s School of Economics, was of particular interest. He offered insights into future global scientific trends that will shape the face and organization of science, economy, and society in the upcoming decade. His presentation was backed by data sourced from the iFORA big data analysis system and high-cited Russian and international scientists’ polls.
MTS unveiled plans to launch a Master’s program in artificial intelligence at the Higher School of Economics’ Faculty of Computer Science during the True Tech Day. Additionally, in collaboration with the School of Economics, MTS announced a large-scale study of Russian organizations’ innovative maturity to assist businesses with identifying their advantages, areas for growth, and effective digital development strategy adjustments.
The True Tech Day 2.0 conference put significant emphasis on vital IT components like cybersecurity and Secure-by-Design programming to navigate cyber risks. Additionally, experts examined tools for developing software for RISC-V’s open architecture, managing databases in a multi-cluster Kubernetes environment, optimizing processes in Multicloud and Hybrid Cloud, integrating popular AI models, and quantum and cloud technologies.
MTS announced plans to invest RUB 7.5 billion by the end of 2025 in developing its proprietary public cloud platform. The company’s cloud infrastructure is expected to be one of the largest in the country, leveraging MTS’s capabilities across Russia.
The True Tech Day 2.0 conference concluded successfully, stimulating dialogues among attendees, helping young talents define their careers, and enabling businesses and scientific organizations to foster effective collaboration.
