Sales of Yet-To-Be-Announced AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D, Ryzen 5 5600GT, and 5500GT Processors Begin in Europe

The ever-evolving tech giant, AMD, continues to breathe life into the Socket AM4 platform, an acclaimed technology that graced the market seven years ago. The company is rolling out new processors for this platform, and one such is the Ryzen 7 5700X3D. European retailers have announced its sale even before its formal introduction to the market. Besides the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, the Ryzen 5000GT APU series have also made their way into the market.

The Ryzen 7 5700X3D is an eight-core and 16-thread processor with 96MB L3 cache memory. This has been amplified by the 3D V-Cache technology. Although this processor has a maximum frequency of 4.10 GHz, it’s 400 MHz below its sibling, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Unfortunately, retailers haven’t provided information about the new Ryzen 7 5700X3D power consumption. At a retail price of around €271 (inclusive of VAT), the Ryzen 7 5700X3D costs approximately 15% to 20% less compared to its predecessor. However, since the Ryzen 5000X3D series doesn’t support overclocking, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D can’t be raised to the frequency level of Ryzen 7 5800X3D while saving around €40.

AMD Ryzen Processors

Alongside the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, European retailers have also launched the Ryzen 5 5600GT and Ryzen 5 5500GT processors. These chips are speedier versions of the Ryzen 5 5600G and Ryzen 5 5500G processors. Built on the Zen 3 microarchitecture, these processors are based on a 7nm process and equipped with monolithic Cezanne crystals. Both processors feature six cores with support for 12 virtual threads. Each processor has 512KB L2 cache memory per core and a total of 16MB L3 cache memory. A built-in Radeon Vega graphics core with seven execution blocks (448 stream processors) forms part of both chips.

The Ryzen 5 5600GT has a maximum clock speed of 4.60 GHz, 200 MHz higher than the Ryzen 5 5600G. But the Ryzen 5 5500GT maintains a 4.40 GHz maximum frequency, similar to the Ryzen 5 5600G. However, the base frequency of the new processor is 3.60 GHz, 300 MHz less than the Ryzen 5 5600G.

In Europe, retailers are offering the Ryzen 5 5600GT for €186, and the Ryzen 5 5500GT for €138.
