In a collaborative effort with game developer 11 bit Studios, Sapphire has introduced a unique graphics card – the Radeon RX 7700 XT Frostpunk 2 Edition – inspired by the anticipated survival-based city-building strategy game. The graphics card will be released in limited quantities and each one will come with an activation code for the Deluxe version of the game Frostpunk 2.
The Radeon RX 7700 XT Frostpunk 2 Edition graphics card is based on the Sapphire Radeon RX 7700 XT Pure model. It is designed to reflect the harsh and unforgiving snow-covered and permanently frozen landscapes of Frostpunk 2. The Sapphire graphics card boasts a frosty white cooling system case and a slick black metallic back panel, punctuated with rusty inclusions. The game logo, applied at the back of the panel, comes with an orange, fire-like hue default backlight – Frostpunk 2’s signature color which can be changed or completely switched off.
The cards come in a unique themed box. In addition to the Deluxe version game code, the Pure Radeon RX 7700 XT Frostpunk 2 Edition package includes three game-inspired badges, three keycaps for mechanical keyboards, and a keycap puller.
As for the technical specifications, the Pure Radeon RX 7700 XT Frostpunk 2 Edition is based on the Navi 32 graphics processor, which contains 3,456 shader processing units. The company claims a slight factory overclock to 2,584 MHz (40 MHz above the reference) for the GPU. The card offers 12GB of GDDR6 memory, with a 192-bit bus support.
Sapphire points out that a 14-phase VRM power subsystem is used in the Pure Radeon RX 7700 XT Frostpunk 2 Edition, which includes high-performance polymer-aluminum capacitors.
The dimensions of the graphics card are 320 × 128.75 × 52.57 mm and it occupies 2.5 PCIe slots. The cooling system includes three fans and five composite heat pipes. Two 8-pin connectors are utilized for additional power supply.
Sapphire’s Pure Radeon RX 7700 XT Frostpunk 2 Edition is expected to appear on sale in July. The card will be available from a limited number of retailers.
