The Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card sales will commence on January 24th. So far, AMD’s partners have unveiled 11 versions of this graphics accelerator, with partner company XFX announcing two of them just recently. The versions will be named RX 7600 XT Speedster SWFT 210 and QICK 309.
Technical Information
The Radeon RX 7600 XT uses the same Navi 33 XT graphics processor present in the regular Radeon RX 7600. While the chip configuration remains the same, AMD has marginally increased its operating frequency. The graphics card itself has increased power reserves and doubled the available memory. Instead of the 8 GB found in the RX 7600, the new model is equipped with 16 GB of memory. However, the memory bus remains at 128-bit. The memory buffer also saw no speed upgrades, remaining at 18 Gbps per contact and a 288 GBps bandwidth.
RX 7600 XT’s Positioning
AMD positions the Radeon RX 7600 XT as a “premium solution” for 1080p gaming. The company’s marketing material notes that the doubled video memory size also enhances the card’s performance in tasks involving generative AI work.
XFX’s Radeon RX 7600 XT Offerings
XFX plans to release the Radeon RX 7600 XT in their custom iterations SWFT 210 and QICK 309. The first is very similar to the Radeon RX 7600 model, but the XT version comes with two 8-pin additional power plugs instead of one.
The SWFT 210 version is geared towards more budget builds and does not have any additional factory overclocking on the GPU. This new release will likely retail at AMD’s recommended price of $329 for the Radeon RX 7600 XT model.
On the other hand, the XFX QICK 309 comes with a more advanced cooling system with three fans. The graphics card is 2.5 expansion slots wide and includes additional factory overclocking of the graphics processor.
Unfortunately, XFX does not provide an exact frequency for the chip. However, judging from a version of the standard Radeon RX 7600 model, which saw a 9% increase in base GPU frequency and a 4% increase in Boost frequency, we can anticipate a similar level of overclocking for the XFX Radeon RX 7600 XT QICK 309.
