EV DO Outage Thread

I’m not sure how Dave would accept this idea but is it possible to have a thread (this one) where people can acknowledge EV DO (or other data svc’s) regional outages ? Staying on hold forever with Verizon (my carrier) just to hear them say “we are are aware of an outage in your area and engineers are working hard to remedy to problem” is not the best use of my time. If so, thn we need at least 1-2 people to acknowledge with the carrier that there is a legit problem so we dont fill up this thread with inaccurate information as many times the issue is “pilot error”.

Any Takers ?

east coast outage

for example – i just got off the phone with Verizon and they acknowledge an outage for east coast customers. no ETA on remedy andnthey could not give me specific regions of the east coast that are affected…although NYC (where I am) seems to be affected.

Wow I wasnt aware of the outage. I do know they are tweaking the network and getting rid of the bleed coverage. I used to have coverage in my area when I wasnt supposed to and they cut me off __________________ Dave Ciccone Founder Handheld Marketing Group, LLC Dave’s iPAQ is not affiliated with HP

why would they reduce coverage ? do constantly dropping connections from weak signals cause havoc with their network ? just a guess…
