Problems with “PLUS SIM” I have a legally (by T-Mobile) unlocked 6315, and use the services of ORANGE. I have updated yesterday my ROM (using the T-Mobile upgrade) – and since then the phone does not work. The self-test does not recognise my “PLUS-SIM”. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Where are you located ? Are you in Israel ? I that case you will need to convert to the 1st generation older sim cards.

That’s right. Go to Orange and ask them for a 32K SIM. They know about this problem and they will support you. You can also find an old SIM with a friend and replace with him. Orange will exchange services on your SIMs with no charge. You don’t even have to go to a service center. Just call them with your friend and ask them to switch the services on your SIMs.

Thanks. I have been to ORANGE – they were asking the price of a new SIM for the switch. After bargaining they were ready to do the job for half the price.

What are the disadvantages of the “old” SIM compared to the “NEW” one?

Less memory on the SIM – you don’t care about that with 6315.
