GCounter file Missing from Backup

I get a successful backup with one exception… \Windows\Activesync\GCounterFile.mmf is not able to be included in the backup…

Any ideas?

Try doing a soft reset before a backup. It sounds like you are trying to copy files that currently being used.
A soft reset should release them

I always get this error – Doesn’t seem to affect the restore which I’ve had to do a few times.

According to Sprite Backup, which I believe license their product to HP: Why I am getting the following error mesage: \\Windows\ActiveSync\GCounterFile.mmf File could not be included. Is my backup file corrupted? Answer No your backup file is not corrupted. The gcounterfile.mmf is a counter file that ActiveSync re-creates everytime you synchronize your device. The file is excluded by default in all releases of Sprite Backup later than version 3.0.1.

Please ignore the warning message for the time being.

Thanks everyone. Now, the message is little worse than the previous one. It says that the backup is corrupted and advises me to verify the SD Card. Should I be: (A) fraid (N) ever mind. It´s a bug. The message says that something went wrong but trully.. it´s okey.

(P) anic ???

1 and 3 I think.

I would do a soft reset, and repeat the Backup.
