EVGA has rolled out an updated series of its maintenance-free CLCx liquid cooling systems, boasting new features like redesigned water blocks and integrated ARGB fans. On the heels of the CLC series launched in 2022, the new CLCx systems will come with radiators in 240, 280, and 360mm sizes.
Distinctive from the CLC counterparts, which featured water blocks with standard RGB lighting, the updated CLCx offerings leverage water blocks featuring a 2.1-inch color display supporting a resolution of 480×480 pixels. The display can provide useful system information and support animated visuals.
The pump design of the cooling systems remains unchanged. The seventh-generation pump from Asetek, previously used in the CLC models, is deployed in the new CLCx lineup as well. EVGA ensures that the pump’s noise does not exceed 20 dB(A).
The latest CLCx liquid cooling systems feature ARGB-backlit fans. The CLCx 240 and 360 models use 120mm fans that operate at speed ranges from 0 to 2,580 RPM, generating airflow up to 73.15 CFM and static pressure just at a noise level of 35.0 dB(A). As for the CLCx 280, it incorporates 140mm fans that have speed levels from 0 to 2,380 RPM and generate an airflow of up to 85.13 CFM, static pressure at the same noise level. Both models use hydrodynamic bearings that have a lifespan of 50,000 hours.
EVGA offers a five-year warranty on its CLCx systems: the CLCx 240 priced at $249.99, the CLCx 280 is worth $269.99, and the premium CLCx 360 edition costs $299.99. Each model supports Intel LGA1700/1200/115X and AMD Socket AM5/ AM4 processor sockets. Furthermore, although they support AMD TR4 processor sockets, the required mounting plate is not included in the package.
