Acer unveils Bifrost Radeon RX 7900 GRE OC Graphics Card

Acer has launched its latest graphics accelerator, the Bifrost Radeon RX 7900 GRE OC, modelled around the existing Predator Bifrost RX 7800 XT OC. Both cards exhibit virtually identical energy consumption patterns, with a Total Board Power rating of around 260 Watts.

The Make-up of the Video Card

The video card design features a three-slot cooling system replete with an aluminium radiator and complemented by three Frostblade 3.0 fans. A pair of eight-pin connectors suffice to supply necessary power to the unit while image display is facilitated by three DisplayPort 2.1s and an HDMI 2.1. Direct from the factory, the GPU is overclocked to 2050 MHz, in comparison to the standard 1880 MHz clock speed of an AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE.

Specifics of The Acer Bifrost Radeon RX 7900 GRE OC

Based on a trimmed down version of the Navi 31 graphics processor with RDNA 3 architecture, the Acer Bifrost Radeon RX 7900 GRE OC features 5120 stream processors across 80 Compute Units (CUs), 160 artificial intelligence accelerators, 80 ray tracing accelerators, 320 texture mapping units (TMUs), and 160 raster operation pipelines (ROPs). Only 4 out of 6 cache memory chips are activated, providing a 64 MB Infinity Cache (level 3 cache). The card also comes with 16 GB GDDR6 video memory running at a speed of 18 Gbps on a 256-bit interface, with a total bandwidth of 576 GB/s.

The Acer Bifrost Radeon RX 7900 GRE OC’s cost remains undisclosed at present.
